Brick Police Make Multiple Drug Arrests In Crackdown

A half dozen drug suspects were arrested by Brick Township police in recent sweeps, authorities said.

On Wednesday, March 16, at about 11 p.m., Brick Street Crimes Unit detectives, working with the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Strike Force, stopped a vehicle on Lanes Mill Road. An investigation led to the arrest of all three occupants with multiple drug charges.

The driver, Apostolos Xinaropoulos, 34, of Brick, was charged with two counts of possession of heroin and loitering to distribute or obtain a controlled dangerous substance. 

Xinaropoulos was processed and released on a summons. 

One of the passengers, Ronald Rule, 51, of Brick, was charged with two counts of possession of heroin, intent to distribute heroin, distribution of heroin, tampering with evidence, loitering to distribute or obtain a CDS, failure to make lawful disposition of a CDS and contempt of court, police said.

Rule was being held in Ocean County Jail.

The other passenger, Tair Jordan, 30, of Brick, was charged with possession of heroin, possession of paraphernalia, loitering to distribute or obtain a CDS, and two counts of contempt of court, police said.

On Thursday, March 24, at 7 p.m., SCU Detectives conducted a motor vehicle stop on Beaverson Boulevard in which the driver, Anthony Hamilton was arrested and charged with being under the influence of a CDS, DWI, obstruction of justice and multiple traffic violations, police said.

Hamilton was taken to Ocean County Jail for lodging on his criminal warrants. While being taken to jail, he reportedly was found to be in possession of heroin and crack, police said. Additional charges of possession of a heroin and crack, intent to distribute, and failure to make lawful disposition of a CDS were filed against Hamilton, police said.

On Wednesday, March 30, at about 10:30 p.m., SCU detectives conducted a motor vehicle stop in which the driver and passenger were arrested for possession of MDMA. 

The driver, Beloved Russell, 20, of Lakewood, was charged with possession of MDMA, possession of a CDS in a motor vehicle, and various traffic violations, police said. 

Her passenger, Jose Mercado Jr., 21, of Lakewood was charged with possession of MDMA, police said.

Both subjects were released on summonses.
